I can speak to this. My betas went up but didn't double the right amount. They had me test a third time and they still weren't doubling right so they scheduled an ultrasound. Dr. Google told me that chances were that I was ectopic, so of course I freaked out. Went in for the ultrasound at around 6 weeks and there were two sacs, two heartbeats. .
